SF Weekly Best Of San Francisco

I have been insanely busy lately, thankfully, and haven't had a change to update my website or blog. So here's an update.  I was fortunately asked to do the illustration for SF Weekly's Best Of San Francisco issue, a yearly release of everything cool and happenin' in San Francisco. Each year they have a new theme, this one was San Francisco Boomtown 3.0, with an emphasis on this clash of Old and New San Francisco. I thought this idea was very cultural relevant to the booming and rapidly evolving city. As fast as SF moves towards the future, it can't help holding on to it's very adored past. The good folks at SF Weekly had me create an original character to narrate these ideas throughout. The character: a gold prospector from 1849 San Francisco somehow manages to find a time warp that takes him to our present day San Francisco. The issue follows the prospector on his adventure, exploring all the very Best San Francisco has to offer. SFWeeklyCover
