On top of weekly deadlines in Illo3, I was also taking Adam McCauley's Color for Illustration. Adam taught color theory and ideas by having us paint countless color swatches and applying those lessons in illustration assignments. This class changed my world. Using color, thinking about color and seeing color has never been the same since. Here are a few images from that class! The Shining - Poster illustration for Stanley Kubrick's film, The Shining. The project was to create a poster for this movie emphasizing contrast of saturation. I was fortunate to have this image selected for the Society of Illustrators student competition!
Electromagnetica - Character designs based off selected colors.
Upsidedownsy - This assignment was Halloween themed. I made an upsidedownsy face that created two faces, depending on which side you were looking.
